I seem to recall reading an online article about Dr. Pimm Van Lommel where he theorized that "junk" DNA might somehow be connected to the collective unconscious. I also seem to remember reading something about how junk DNA might have something to do with explaining how during the earliest phases of fetal development a liver cell knows to become a liver cell and a brain cell a brain cell. Since all cells have exactly the same DNA it's a mystery how cells differentiate into different organs and cells in the body.

Morphic resonance may have something to do with this. See the work of Rupert Sheldrake.

Yes, I've read "A New Science of Life" by Rupert Sheldrake and in fact still have the book in my library. It took me a couple of months to wade all the way through it. It's NOT an easy read! It was like reading a college textbook. I finally got to the end. Whew! We have a really great used bookstore in Nashville where I can trade in books that I don't think I'll be reading again and I'm torn about whether to trade in my Rupert Sheldrake books. I am planning on trading in my two Dean Radin books for trade credit; The Conscious Universe and Entangled Minds. I most recently finished reading Entangled Minds and even though I found it enlightening don't think I'll be re-reading it. I also recently read "Science and the Akashic Record", by Ervin Lazlo. It was pretty good too. Maybe I should just trade in all my Sheldrake, Radin, and Lazlo books? I doubt I'll end up reading any of them again. The only books that I've re-read like that are ones written by Dr. Melvin Morse, and of course Michael Talbot's books. - Art

Interesting you should mention your tonsils. I just read an online news story about the appendix and at the end of the article they said a similar function may be found for the tonsils. Here's a taste of the story with the URL at the end for those wishing to read the whole article.

"Scientists: Appendix protects good germs By SETH BORENSTEIN, AP Science Writer
2 hours, 42 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Some scientists think they have figured out the real job of the troublesome and seemingly useless appendix: It produces and protects good germs for your gut. That's the theory from surgeons and immunologists at Duke University Medical School, published online in a scientific journal this week. ... ...

The idea "seems by far the most likely" explanation for the function of the appendix, said Brandeis University biochemistry professor Douglas Theobald. "It makes evolutionary sense."

The theory led Gary Huffnagle, a University of Michigan internal medicine and microbiology professor, to wonder about the value of another body part that is often yanked: "I'll bet eventually we'll find the same sort of thing with the tonsils."

It was Simon Berkovich who theorized that "junk DNA" is used to identify us as indivuduals to the collective unconcious or universal mind. It is also his theory, I believe, that says the human brain capacity and input speed is too small and slow to account for our conciousness. I'd love to see that investigated further.

The news about the appendix seems to validate some information has been previously "channeled" by the entity known as Kryon, through channeler Lee Carroll, here:

It is interesting to note that there are scientists who regularly read Kryon's information for inspiration, although of course many of them would no admit it in public. Also, regarding DNA, Physics, Earth Magnetic Field, Biology and Consciousness, there have been many interesting insights provided by Kryon through more than a decade of channeling. See for example this one about Physics and Astrology:

But you gotta marvel at the "scientist" who said with a staright face - "This makes evolutionary sense"

and they also claim vestigal organs as proof of undirected evolution...

that has gotta be some theory..

every nail stuck into it becomes the pillar on which it is said to stand on...
