I've cultivated the habit of reading what I've typed two or three times before emailing/posting/etc., making certain I'm conveying my thoughts as I intend. It's a habit born of one too many hurtful misunderstandings.

Writing's never been my strong suit anyway. Maybe that's another reason I'm more guarded about it.

Michael -- thanks for mentioning the reference. I found it a well-researched article, controversial, but more accurate than the "mainstream" or "serious" views.
