I would think that creativity is something you generate by processing what is around you and channeling it along specific pathways to produce something new. Not everyone has the same memories, or history or life. Thus each one creates different outputs.

Isn't the idea that people are controlled like puppets by some higher force rather degrading?

In any case, that you cannot control something does not imply that you are controled by others.

Degrading to the ego, yes.

I see many parallels between the Gospel of John and the holographic universe paradigm. I also see parallels to near death experiences. God is Love, God is Light, oneness, etc.

John 17:
22 "I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23 I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me."

..........................................
By the way, am I the only one who sees parallels between the "Trinity" (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and the holographic universe?

"I found myself thinking that creativity is not something you generate, but something that operates through you."

Who is the you? From my point of view there are several levels/degrees of awareness. If the you is the ego then yes something operates through the "you". If the "you" referred to in this sentence is soul than again yes; something operates though the soul. Now if the you is spirit then I suspect this is the vitality and intelligence that is doing the operating.

I often wonder if the “kingdom of God” is an absolute awaking to the spirit within and not a place we go to play harps or sleep with 72 virgins. Creativity appears to come to us from some other place other than our personality. Maybe this is because we identify with our ego or soul and not with our spirit, so when we have a creative awaking it appears to our personality as something operating though us.

Before we judge ourselves to severely for this failure to identify with our spirit we must ask ourselves: what would the world be like if everyone identified entirely with his or her spirit? Stated another way how could the absolute experience itself, not be aware of, but experience its oneness if all life forms identified fully with their spirit.

Absolute awareness is pure spirit and every living life form has a different level of awareness. How do we refer to these different levels of awareness? It is consciousness. What is consciousness?

I am sure that what I about to suggest is very controversial but it appears to me at this time that consciousness is awareness plus innocence. Multiplicity of life forms demands that entities have a perception or illusion of being separate identities. While most consider awareness an attribute of consciousness I suspect that consciousness is the creation and manifestation of infinite and perfect awareness. Hope I did not stick my neck out too far on this one.

sorry for the duplication but had a problem with the verification process when I tried to post.

Beautiful Michael, I totally agree!

I've always thought of the bible as a collection of stories about God through the eyes mankind. That something spoke through these people may be true, but irreconsilable inconsistancies still abound in a book that is supposedly a result of the direct influence of God.

What could be more inspiring than writing in the stead of the supreme creator of the universe?
