A reader left a message in the comments section of this post, reporting the sad news that one of the other commenters, Rob Dentith, has passed away.
Rob contributed intelligent and thought-provoking remarks to the comments thread, and showed a sincere interest in NDEs and other psi phenomena. He wrote that he had undergone many out-of-body experiences, which had inspired him to read about the evidence for an afterlife. His attitude was serious and cautious; he did not come across as credulous or eager to believe. He also said that lately he was finding much wisdom in the Bible, and was considering becoming a Christian.
A Google search for his name turned up this information:
On Thursday October 5th 2006 we suffered a tragic loss as Unsigned Show presenter Robert Dentith sadly passed away at the age of 29.From a personal point of view I have lost a great and very close friend and one of the nicest and most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had known and worked very closely with Rob for nearly 3 years and watched with great admiration as he poured his heart and his soul into promoting new and unsigned music in the West Midlands.
Those of you that knew Rob will understand how radio and unsigned music were his passion and his life. He has worked tirelessly for years on bringing new music to the fore, helping bands where help did not previously exist and to use his favourite quote: ‘provided a voice for the underground’.
His voice is no longer here but it will live on as the scene continues to flourish as we build upon what he started.
My one abiding memory of Rob will always be his enthusiasm for life; his outlook was always positive even in the face of great adversity.
He was a man whose cup was never half full but truly overflowing and he will be missed by us all.
The fact that Rob Dentith had acquired such a wise perspective on life at the young age of 29 makes his passing all the more tragic.
Oh, that is so sad.
I wish Rob well in his new journey. God bless him. I hope that the work he did will continue and make him proud.

Until this post, I had no idea what unsigned music was.
