Super post.

I was just about to ask you yesterday if you wouldn't mind bringing up this subject. I just started my own blog yesterday which will address this very topic from a rigorously scientific approach.

Recently I read some material on Madeline Murray O'Hair and was amazed at how much she and Ayn Rand had in common. They shared a good many philisophical beliefs and personality traits. Just one example: their utter contempt for anyone who didn't share their beliefs. Because of their pessimistic view, they seemed very sad, bitter people.

There are similarities between the two women. Like Rand, O'Hair became something of a cult figure, surrounded by acolytes. Both women seem to have been thoroughly dislikable and to have alienated anyone with a smidgen of self-respect, leaving only the sycophants.
