« Poetry interlude: "Albert and the Lion" | Main | Pray for New Orleans »

And now for, imo, the number one oddest fact about New Jersey -- Princeton University is located there.

Hey, Monmouth Park has the Haskell Invitational. Joisey can't be all bad...

Yes, I thought about mentioning Princeton, but I was more interested in the pizza and subs! It is somewhat humbling to think that the 20th Century's greatest genius, Albert Einstein, chose to live the latter part of his life in Jersey. Or maybe the guy wasn't as smart as we think ...

As for the Haskell Invitational, I assume that's some horseracing thing?

Yes, it appears they are in dire need of leadership in Iraq but I'm not sure anyone we muster at this point is up for the it New Jersey or Seattle. I love reading your blog. Thanks for posting.

"People who know New Jersey only from the sour-smelling turnpike lined with chemical plants and oil refineries scoff at its official nickname, the Garden State."

Yep, that pretty much sums up my impression...

Of course, MP.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course ...
